Before you start
- You are signed in to Slate and can see Ask Slate at the top right of your Dashboard. Anyone on the team can ask; only an owner or admin can approve a change.
Steps
In the menu on the left, click Dashboard, then click Ask Slate at the top right. You can also click the round button at the bottom right of the Dashboard.
The Slate assistant window opens. In the box at the bottom, type what you want, for example
Add a Sunrise Kayak Tour, 90 minutes, Adult $49.Press Enter or click Send. Ask Slate answers on the left and lists what it would change under Proposed changes on the right, with Before and After for each one.
Not quite right? Click Refine and tell it what to change. You can keep going until the list is what you want.
Click Approve 1 change (or Approve with the number of changes). The changes are written to your account straight away.
To take a change back, go to Settings, then History, within 48 hours.
Tips
- Ask Slate can look at your setup and draft new services with prices, boats, rooms and gear, team members, weekly opening hours, and which boats a service runs on.
- It cannot delete anything, cancel or refund a booking, or change a booking that already exists. It never charges a customer.
- If an admin approves and the owner has Owner must confirm admin changes turned on, the change waits in History until the owner approves it.
- Closing the window clears the conversation. Approved changes stay.
- You can approve up to 20 changes at once.
Related
- See what Ask Slate changed, and undo it: Review every change Ask Slate made or asked to make for your business, and undo one within 48 hours.
- Create your first experience: Add something guests can book, then give it a ticket type with a price so it shows up ready to book on your booking page.
- Add boats, vehicles, rooms, gear and staff: List what your sessions run on and who leads them, choose what each person can run and who crews each boat, then give them hours.
- Set your opening hours: Give each boat, room, piece of gear or staff member the hours they can run, a whole week at a time, so Slate only makes sessions inside them.
