Add online booking to a GoDaddy website

On a GoDaddy website, the reliable way to take bookings is GoDaddy’s own action button, linked to your Slate booking page. GoDaddy runs HTML and custom code inside an iframe, so a booking widget may not size itself and may look cut off; this guide uses the button.

What you need

• Your booking page address from Slate. In Slate, open the Booking page tab, go to Add to your website and choose GoDaddy.
• Any GoDaddy Websites + Marketing plan.

Add a Book now button

1. Copy your booking page address from Slate.
2. In GoDaddy’s website builder, go to a section with an action button, or add a section that has one.
3. Open the button’s settings and choose Link for what happens when it is clicked.
4. In Link to, choose Website URL and paste your booking page address. GoDaddy opens it in a new tab.
5. Change the button text to Book now, then publish your site.

If it does not work

• The booking page opens in a new tab. That is how GoDaddy opens website links. Guests book there and can return to your site.
• You pasted the widget into an HTML section and it looks cut off. Remove that section and use the button instead.
• Your change does not show. GoDaddy saves as you go, but visitors see it only after you publish.

Check it worked

In Slate, paste the page’s address into Check my site. Slate reads the page, tells you whether it found your Book now button, and checks it again every day.
