Before you start

  • Someone at the business has invited you from their Team settings, and you have the email. Its subject reads like Pelican Point Paddle Co. invited you to Slate.
  • The invite is for one email address. Sign in, or sign up, with that same address.

Steps

  1. Open the email and click the link under Open this link to accept.

  2. If you are not signed in, Slate opens the sign-up page. Create your account with the invited email address, or click Sign in if you already have one. You do not set up a business of your own.

  3. Once you are signed in, Slate accepts the invite and opens the business's dashboard. You now have the role the invite gave you.

  4. Signed up without using the link? Slate shows You’ve been invited to join a team the first time you sign in. Click Join next to the business.

Tips

  • An invite expires after seven days. If Slate says This invitation can’t be used, ask whoever invited you to send a new one.
  • Signed in as the wrong person? On that message, click Sign in as somebody else.
  • Already part of another business on Slate? After you join, switch between businesses from the menu at the bottom left of the console.
